Four Selected to 2025 All-Region First Team
The Montgomery College Raptors volleyball program continues to add to its historic season. Fresh off capturing the Region 20 Championship and completing an undefeated 15–0 run in region play, four Raptors have been selected to the 2025 NJCAA Division II All-Region First Team.
Each student-athlete played a pivotal role in MC's dominant campaign:
• Alaryss Medina – L/DS, Sophomore, 5'6"
Houston, TX / Summer Creek (Texas)
A defensive anchor all season, Medina's consistency, serve-receive stability, and floor leadership powered the Raptors' back row.
• Hillary Malik – MH, Sophomore, 5'9"
Clarksburg, MD / Clarksburg
A force at the net, Malik excelled as a two-way middle, providing efficient offense and timely blocking throughout the year.
• Janelle Orellana – S/DS, Sophomore, 5'4"
Silver Spring, MD / Albert Einstein
Orellana guided the Raptors' offense with poise, delivering high-level setting and contributing heavily on defense.
• Sofiia Mateshuk – OH, Freshman, 6'1"
Bethesda, MD / ZIEIT (Ukraine)
A standout in her first collegiate season, Mateshuk was one of MC's most dynamic attackers and a consistent scoring threat.
The Raptors' four All-Region selections highlight a season defined by teamwork, depth, and championship-level performance.
