Raptors Explode for 20 Runs in Offensive Showcase Against Richard Bland
Germantown, MD - The Montgomery College baseball team delivered one of its strongest offensive performances of the season, defeating Richard Bland College 20–13 in a high-scoring contest powered by 19 hits and production throughout the lineup.
Montgomery jumped on Richard Bland immediately, scoring five runs in the first inning and never surrendering momentum offensively. The Raptors added runs in seven of eight innings, using patient at-bats, timely extra-base hits, and aggressive baserunning to build a large early lead.

Early Control: Montgomery opened with five runs in the first inning, then added another in the third before breaking the game open with a five-run fourth inning.

Middle Innings: The Raptors continued to pressure the defense with two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings, extending the lead behind consistent contact and disciplined plate appearances.

Late Response: Even after Richard Bland mounted scoring rallies in the sixth through eighth innings, Montgomery answered with four runs in the seventh and another insurance run in the eighth to secure the win.
Montgomery finished with 19 hits, 9 walks, and zero errors, with multiple players producing multi-hit games.

On the mound, Daerek Sawyer earned the win (2-1), striking out three over two scoreless innings to start the game. Montgomery used six pitchers overall, with Hayden Hair closing out the final 2.1 innings and recording three strikeouts to help finish the victory.
The Raptors' offensive depth and ability to answer late pressure highlighted a complete team effort in one of the highest-scoring wins of the year.
