Raptors Dominate on the Road, Defeat Lackawanna 68–53
Scranton, PA – The Montgomery College women's basketball team delivered a statement win on Tuesday night, rolling past Lackawanna College, 68–53, to earn their second victory of the season. The Raptors set the tone early with relentless defensive pressure and fast-paced offense, building a double-digit lead in the opening quarter and never looking back.
Montgomery came out firing, taking a 23–11 lead after the first period and extending their advantage to 41–28 at halftime. The Raptors' defense clamped down in the third quarter, holding Lackawanna to just 7 points while stretching the lead to as many as 20.
Sophomore guard Imani Dennis was the engine behind the Raptors' attack, putting together an incredible all-around performance. Dennis finished with 29 points, 10 steals, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds, shooting 12-for-21 from the field and connecting on three shots from beyond the arc.
Freshman Tiana Carey added 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals, providing energy on both ends of the floor. Forward Arianna Sisk anchored the interior with a double-double, tallying 6 points and 10 rebounds, while Sanai Massenburgcame off the bench to score 11 points and grab 7 rebounds, knocking down three key three-pointers.
The Raptors' bench also contributed valuable minutes, as Caitlyn Howard chipped in 7 points and strong rebounding presence. Montgomery's defensive intensity forced Lackawanna into turnovers and limited their second-chance opportunities, allowing the Raptors to control the tempo throughout.
