MC Tip-Off: Raptors Split Weekend Games

Montgomery College hosted their annual Tip Off Tournament on November 9th & 10th, featuring teams from all over the east coast. The Raptors split the weekend, going 1-1.
On Saturday, the Raptors beat Delaware Tech 72-43. The Raptors were in a close game at the end of the first quarter, leading 10-9. From then on, they outscored Delaware Tech 62-34. Kennedy Clifton led all scorers with 20 points and 22 rebounds, and Sanai Massenberg put up a double-double with 13 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals in her first game back from injury.
On Sunday, the Raptors lost to the Monroe Mustangs 87-62. The Raptors were down 13-4 to start the game, and were never able to close the gap. They found themselves in foul trouble, with 3 of their 8 players finishing with 4 or more fouls. In her first game back, Litzy Lujan-Gonzales played all 40 minutes and led both teams in scoring with 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. She was "excited to be back on the court" and is "excited to see how far we will go this year."
