Raptors Sweep Rival Hagerstown
ROCKVILLE, MD. — The Montgomery College women's volleyball team continued their dominant 2025 campaign with a straight-set sweep over rival Hagerstown Community College on Tuesday evening. The win lifts the Raptors to 11-3 overall, a perfect 5-0 in Maryland JUCO (MDJUCO) Conference play, and 7-0 in NJCAA Region XX competition.
The Raptors entered the match focused and composed, outpacing the 8-2 Hawks in all facets of the game.

Jordyn Palazzo led all scorers with 12 kills on a .375 hitting percentage, finishing with 12.0 total points.

Hillary Malik was highly efficient at the net with 7 kills, a .545 hitting percentage, and a team-high 5 total blocks.

Sofiia Mateshuk contributed a strong all-around performance with 10 kills, 3 service aces, and 3 block assists for a team-best 14.5 points.

Caitlin Doherty and Isabella Pavlo added 7 and 6 kills respectively, helping round out the Raptors' balanced attack.

Janelle Orellana powered the offense with 38 assists and chipped in 4 service aces.

Alaryss Medina anchored the defense with 12 digs, while Allie Botha and Vanessa Miller combined for 11 additional digs in the back row.

The team totaled 13 service aces and 8 blocks, holding Hagerstown to minimal scoring runs throughout the match.
