Raptors Pick Up Two More Wins in Final Home Tri-Match of the Regular Season

Rockville, MD - The Montgomery College Raptors closed out their regular season home schedule on Saturday with two dominant victories, sweeping both Chesapeake College and the Community College of Beaver County in straight sets during a home tri-match.

Game 1 Recap vs Chesapeake College

The Raptors set the tone early in their first match of the day, delivering a clean sweep over Chesapeake College behind a well-rounded team performance.

Standouts:

• Vanessa Miller led the offense with 8 kills (.538 hitting).

• Jordyn Palazzo posted 7 kills, 3 aces, and 3 digs.

• Janelle Orellana dished out 17 assists and served 5 aces.

• Hillary Malik, Caitlin Doherty, and Emma Salas each contributed key kills.

• Sofiia Mateshuk went 4-for-5 (.800), continuing her efficient attacking.

• Allie Botha anchored the back row with 7 digs.

In the second match of the day, the Raptors kept their foot on the gas pedal, sweeping CCBC in three sets with another deep, all-around team performance.

• Janelle Orellana remained consistent at setter with 15 assists and 4 aces.
